Our shadow is never gone, even when hidden it is there. Don’t turn away from your darkness. Your pain, the ugly not so cute to look at qualities you possess. .
The stuff that’s hard to look at - face it, shine a light in it, get under it! See what causes it. When you light yo the darkness the shadow shrinks. When you ignore it it grows bigger, uncontrollable. It takes over. .
Ever feel like a five-year-old having a tantrum? Most of us are walking around reacting to the world from the beliefs, feelings and points of view of ourselves as children. We need to look at our original hurts and the traumas and heal from them so our shadow is a reflection we are connected to and aware of not the boogie man driving our lives, hands on the steering wheel leading us in the dark.

Light it up!

There’s no need to be self conscious when you’re being genuine. Show up and say “Yep, this is me!”
But if you’re trying to be perfect you’ll always second guess yourself wondering if others think you’re good, if you got it right... turning all your power over to others. .
Practice self expression, being genuine to your own taste, style and passions and pair that with your purpose, the impact you want to make on others. .
Life, art, being becomes more fun and easy - being genuine is easy. Just takes practice! .

If that name is ringing a bell, it's because he took my photo last year during @outmagazine's #Out100 2018! It was a privilege to collaborate with such a celebrated artist while in turn, receiving recognition for my own work and werq!
