Topic: Finding Your Artistic Voice
Discover tools to discover, develop and share your authentic voice in the world - create your signature look, style, sound, marketing tools. Answer the question - who am I and how can I make the biggest impact on the world?
Leslie Mosier and Rob Chianelli (Doug's human dad) are the brilliant duo behind behind media-magnet Doug The Pug. A social media mogul and graphic design virtuoso, Leslie got her start as Director of New Media at Aware Records in Nashville, Tennessee. Honing her skills in graphic design and artist management, Mosier maintained a continuous balancing act between that of the agency and launching Doug the Pug as an internationally recognized brand. Shortly thereafter, she successfully branched out to manage Doug’s career full-time in May 2015. Rob is a brilliant videographer & photographer creating the humorous and catchy images and videos that capture the world.
An Instagram veteran, Mosier has been able to further branding by cultivating a social community, of which the proof is in Doug the Pug. In March 2015, Doug had a social following of 3,000 fans, which is dwarfed by his current network of nearly 12 million adoring fans. Mosier’s branding skills paired with her freelance graphic design business have made the squishy pug face a social media pop-icon, which is only the beginning.
Rob Chianelli, a former touring drummer living in Nashville, TN, had a hobby for filming and editing throughout his young adult life. This passion exploded into a full-time job when he and his fiancé started an Instagram account for their dog Doug The Pug. Doug quickly turned into a viral sensation, which led to his videos garnering well over 1 Billion Views and over 11 Million Followers. Rob has filmed videos of Doug for brands including Disney, the Chicago Bulls, Target, Planet Fitness, HP, Flonase, and more. Shakira even flew their team of 3 to Barcelona to film a video to promote her single. Rob, Leslie, and Doug The Pug were awarded “Instagrammer of the Year” at the Shorty Awards in 2017, and Forbes named Doug a Top Animal Influencer.
