The Parr Method
Not a technique.
A philosophy.
The Parr Method starts from a simple belief: everything you need as an artist is already inside you. The work is removing what's in the way — the mental limits, the physical tension, the noise from outside — and helping you access what's there with ease, consistency, and confidence.
It's holistic because voice and identity can't be separated. How you sing is how you show up. When one changes, so does the other.
Vocal Technique - Ohhh, it’s incredible - when it serves your artistry. When you’re muscles are aligned, singing is easy + free - so you can focus on storytelling + connecting.
How Compass Was Born
The coaching
led to everything else.
Through years of working intimately with artists at every level of the industry, something kept coming up: the voice work was succeeding, but the industry pressure on artistic expression was getting in the way of some artists fully blossoming.
Labels, management, social media, the market — the more outside voices entered the room, the harder it became for artists to hear their own. Some of the most gifted people Wendy had ever worked with were losing access to their own instincts at exactly the moment they needed them most.
Compass wasn't built as a business. It was built as an answer to something I kept watching happen to artists I believed in.
Wendy Parr · on founding Compass
Compass was conceived as a full creative ecosystem — a place to dissect every layer of an artist's identity, embrace what makes them singular, and build the skills to communicate that vision with certainty. For independent artists, it provides what a label would. For signed artists, it's the room where their clearest thinking happens.
About · Wendy Parr
My whole career has lived at the intersection of who you are and what you have to say.
My job is to help you be you — fun, free, purposeful. To remove whatever's in the way of that, technically and creatively, and help you access more of yourself with less effort.
I've spent 35 years listening — really listening — to what's already there in an artist and helping them hear it too. That's the work. Everything else follows from that.

Mental and physical — what's actually in the way of your full expression, technically and creatively.
Find power through presence
Your voice is most free when you're most present. We build that capacity deliberately, not by accident.
Tools that travel with you
Nothing that only works in the room. Everything you leave with works on stage, in the studio, on the road - being your best under all conditions.
